Reference images are extremely distracting when orbiting model in perspective, and are often only useful in ortho views. Further, when in an ortho view, it would be nice to have the option to only see the reference image for that ortho view. For example, currenty if a user has right and left ortho views, they see an overlay of both when looking down either the x or -x planes. This is useful for initially lining up images but it would be nice to be able to turn off.

Also noted. We thought that it would be useful for the user to be seeing the location of images in space even when not in ortho view, but we agree that it may be distracting, and it’s most likely not useful at all. Hiding them unless you’re in the ortho view where it makes sense to display them is a good idea I think, and shouldn’t be much work to implement. We’re adding it to the list, and hope to include this in our next release as well.

In fact I would like to reconsider my reply above. I think that it’s a neat feature to be able to see the images in oblique view. And it’s pretty easy to hide them either all together or just one, if they get in the way. I will add a short video on slack demonstrating, and I look forward to your opinion.

Version 1.2.1
Loaded sketches are only visible from one side, so they don’t get in the way.
