option to delete verts when deleting edges#45

Perhaps hold shift or something to delete verts and edges.

Do you mean delete the “unnecessary” vertices left off a deleted edge? If that’s the case, maybe you find the “2” shortcut useful: Hitting the key number “2” will delete all vertices (unless fixed) that only lie between two edges.

I hope this helps, please let me know if it works for you. Thank you!

Hi! that’s a handy cleanup tool but not exactly what i’m after. i wouldn’t always want to delete all floating verts. I’m really liking that i can kind of pin verts here and there without needing to connect them to edges right away. That’s a huge advantage, actually. However, there are cases where i’ve removed a longer chain of edges and then have to go in and manually select the verts to delete them.

OK so if we have, for instance, an “H” shape consisting of 3 edges and we delete the horizontal edge, we want the two vertices on either side of it to also go (provided they are left floating). Yes this makes total sense, and shift-delete feels like the right interface for it.
